  • We offer a range of programs, including special education, English language development, gifted education, and counseling services to support diverse student needs.

  • Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills, and on-site staff trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.

  • Our elementary school day typically begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 2:20 p.m., with after-school programs available for families needing extended care.

  • Registration is straightforward and can be done online or in person at the school office. Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records.

  • We welcome family involvement! Parents can volunteer in classrooms, join the PTA, participate in family nights, or attend school events. Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience.

  • Technology is integrated to enhance learning, with resources such as interactive whiteboards, tablets, and educational software that support students' digital literacy and engagement.

Greer Elementary School, our mission is to ensure that every child learns, grows, and shines by providing a safe, nurturing environment where academic excellence, creativity, and character development are cultivated through innovative teaching and strong partnerships with families and the community.

Principal Hunter brings over 15 years of educational leadership and a passion for student success, driving excellence and innovation throughout our school.

Welcome to C.B. Greer Elementary School!

 

At Greer, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. As principal, I am honored to work alongside a dedicated team of educators and staff who share an unwavering commitment to excellence and to nurturing the whole child.

 

Over the past four years, C.B. Greer Elementary has achieved significant academic gains that reflect our focused efforts and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. To name a few...

 

  • CCRPI Growth: Our CCRPI score rose from 72.3 in 2018 to 91.6 in 2023, reflecting growth in academic achievement, student progress, and closing gaps among subgroups.
  • ELA Performance: The percentage of students scoring Developing (Level 2) or higher in English Language Arts increased from 72% in 2019 to 92% in 2023.
  • Math Performance: Students scoring Developing or higher in math grew from 68% in 2019 to 89% in 2023.
  • Closing Achievement Gaps: Students with disabilities improved ELA scores from 11% Proficient or above in 2019 to 42% in 2023, and math scores from 13% to 45% over the same period.
  • Recognition: GOSA Silver Award, GADOE Math Leader Award, Title I Distinguished School Award for four consecutive years.

 

These accomplishments are a direct result of our commitment to data-driven instruction, innovative teaching practices, and a strong culture of collaboration and support. We’ve strengthened programs like our Gifted  services and implemented strategies to ensure all learners achieve success.Beyond academics, what truly defines Greer is our vibrant school culture. Our students enjoy rich experiences in the arts, physical education, and technology, helping them discover their talents and passions. We believe relationships are the heart of education. Our classrooms are places of curiosity, creativity, and belonging, where every child feels valued and supported.
